The “old money” lifestyle has been trending now for a while, and I’ll admit to have been caught up in it, especially the style. I would describe my style as “clean girl, old money” kind of a vibe. Therefore today I have summed up one piece of clothing from each category, for you to build a timeless summer wardrobe.
Dress:
If you are in the look for a dress to elevate all of your outfits. A dress you can dress up and down, which is comfy but looks elegant, I would recommend a high neck with a soft A-line figure. The dress I have in mind is the POPPY DRESS – IVORY from Posse.com.au. It’s classy, soft and feminine. Easy to dress up and to dress down. The halter neck gives it that old money look and helps it stay classy. However, it is on the more pricey side. An alternative would be Premium White Woven Tie Halter Neck Dress from pretty little thing. It’s not as soft I would say, but has that elegant look to it, especially for dressing up.
Skirt:
A long black skirt can go a long way with the right styling. I would always recommend keeping a long straight black skirt in your closet. The one I have is from strandinavius, however I think it went out of sales. A close one would be this one from Ellos.com I would style it both to make it classy, like with a silk top, perhaps this one from Zara. Or I would dress it down by adding a jeans top or a black top to make it more into a tight black dress.
Pants:
The most useful pants you will ever invest in is a pair of dress pants. I love the low waisted, straight with somewhat widen legs, these ones from nelly.com are just perfect. Dress pants are timeless and stylish, they can easily be dressed up or down depending on the day. I would recommend investing in different colors, these ones come in black, beige and gray. I have them all and use them all the time.
Bag:
I would say you need one big bag and one smaller bag. My absolute favorite brand for bags is thinkolives.com. They have the most simple and classy bags of all time, and they aren’t that expensive. My favorite that I have bought is the Bea Turn Lock Shoulder Bag. It’s a classy jet stylish bag and fits everything. For a smaller bag I’m a big fan of the Minimal Hobo Bag, it fits a lot of your everyday needs while not being to big.
Accessory:
The perfect accessory for the ultimate closet is a watch. Invest in a classy, chic and timeless watch that goes great with both everyday use and for dressing up. I love two different watches, from a brand called Mockberg.com. The first one is the classic gold 25 MM. It’s a Cartier dupe, and looks and feels so elegant. The second one is the Antique gold watch. It’s classy and small which I think keeps it trendy for a longer time. Both watches go for around 160 USD. However, I believe the price to be accurate for the watch you’re getting.
